MVP covets SMC’s food business. Find out what Ramon Ang has to say

Bilyonaryo Manuel V. Pangilinan is keen on exploring opportunities for collaboration with Ramon Ang’s San Miguel Corporation (SMC), particularly in the area of food, now that they’re in the thick of talks for the possible merger of their tollway companies.

The president and chief executive officer of SMC revealed the area that Pangilinan, the chairman and president of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC) appears to be particularly interested in during a recent interview with One News.

Ang, however, all potential business deals must be thoroughly studied.

Kasi minsan kahit good yung intention naming dalawa, kainggitan ng tao ‘yan at siraan kami pareho,” he explained.

The friendship between Ang and Pangilinan has grown since they teamed up to bankroll Gilas Pilipinas’ successful campaigns in the 2023 FIBA World Cup and the Asian Games.

Ang, who recently joined MPIC’s board, shared that he discovers more facets of Pangilinan’s character the more he spends time with his fellow bilyonaryo.

Makikita mo yung bisita lang nya nung birthday niya, lahat ng educator ng Ateneo, ng San Beda, lahat yun bisita niya at hanga sa kanya,” he said.
